Week 7: Pivotal Plans 3/15/19

Ciao! That's "hello" in Italian. No, I'm not Italian, I'm Hailey. These past few weeks have been quite boring. Our group has been at a sort of road block if you will, at least in terms of moving forward with our project. The cold weather, although recently beginning to pass, has been a pain to deal with, as most of our project goal was to start a dog-walking service in our community. We hoe to be able to follow through on that idea, if it ever fully warms up. On a brighter note, Project FURever Home has scored a booth at our school's spring vendor fair in April! This is absolutely wonderful news, as it will give us an opportunity to finally start selling treats. We plan to make the treats, bags, and to purchase the decorations for our booth over the next week, spring break. Each bag will have a recipe card, also (hopefully) containing a picture and description of an adoptable animal. Another fortunate situation, kitten season is coming up, which could mean great things for our project. We want to set up a donation box at our booth and at lunch to collect items for shelters during this busy time of year. Kitten season information pamphlets and poster will be handed out at our booth and posted around the school. Those who donate (whether it be money or supplies) will be entered in a drawing for gift cards to restaurants in the area. Until next time when we've hopefully executed all of these plans successfully! Here's a picture of our Instagram, go follow it if you haven't already!
