Week 7: Big Plans (3/15/19)

Heya! We finally have some solid plans. On April 6th, we have a booth at the Fine Arts Booster's vendor fair! We will be setting up a box for supplies to donate for kitten season to help out the Metro East Humane society, an Edwardsville shelter that has been recognized state wide for their progress as a thriving small shelter in the Midwest due to their successful fostering and TNR programs. We will also be selling homemade dog treats and all the profits from that will be donated to Partners for Pets. At our booth, we will also have binders of adoptable pets from Metro East Humane Society and Partners for Pets to help them find homes. We plan to have nice, pretty, eye-catching decorations and posters at our booth to advocate for adoption and other various issues faced by animals in our area. At some point, we will also be setting up a donation booth. To encourage participation, we will be getting gift card donations and having gift card drawings for our peers who donated. We hope to help with the adoptions of pets that have been in shelters for a long time or have disabilities that make them less likely to find a home. For Metro East Humane Society, since kitten season is coming up, we wanted to get supplies to help them deal with the abundance of kittens that will be born this spring and summer. We hope that this will be a huge success!
