Week 6: Elevator Pitch & Volunteering (2/8/19)

Hello, and welcome back to our blogs, it's been awhile. This week we worked together to formulate an elevator pitch, to introduce our project if anyone questions what we are doing. Our pitch is “My name is, (our name) and I’m part of Project FURever Home. Our goal is to get disadvantaged pets in the Metro East adopted. Older and disabled pets frequently get buried in the shelter system, so we strive to prove that those pets are just as good as “normal,” young pets. Science shows that living with pets has numerous health benefits, so our project will benefit both disadvantaged pets and their new owners. To work towards this goal, we advertise for these disadvantaged pets on our social media pages. To help out this cause, you can spread the word about our page and what we stand for.” Also, I have begun volunteering at the Partner For Pets shelter. I worked with the cats and dogs when volunteering you help with feeding, grooming, walking, and cuddling sometimes. I noticed several pets that are up for adoption, and others that aren't ready for adoption yet. I met Eliza, Pumpkin, Blackberry, Iris, and Silke which are all cats at the shelter which need their own FURever home. All the cats are considered to be Domestic Short hair, medium, or long. Some dogs that I met at the shelter that are adoptable are Nancy, Jetson, Ginger, Justine, Titan, Audio, and Gucci. Nancy is a female Beagle mix, Jetson is a male Pit Bull Terrier, Ginger is a female Pit Bull Terrier mix, Justine is a female Pit Bull Terrier mix, Titan is a male Cane Corso, Audio is a male Pit Bull Terrier mix, and Gucci is a male Pit Bull Terrier mix. The Photo is of Blackberry and Gucci.
