Week 6: Nobody Knows Who We Are... (2/8/19)

Hi. Oh no. Not much is really happening. We, once again, have arrived at a bit of a road block. We are continuing to make advertisement posts for disadvantaged pets, but we are not reaching much of an audience. To solve this problem, we can make fliers to post around the school and we can can talk to local businesses and see if they would like to get involved or even just let us post a flier in their establishment. We received our Cat Rescue Ring in the mail, so when we set up our shelter drive and raise supplies and money for Partners for Pets, we can take pictures with the cats with the ring to advocate for the brand we partnered with (all proceeds from their rings go to shelter cats in need), and we can also take pictures of our own cats with the ring if we have cats. For the shelter drive: Kaili is working on an email to send to Mr. Newell and set it up with him! Our elevator pitch reads as follows: My name is (yeehaw) and I’m part of Project FURever Home. Our goal is to get disadvantaged pets in the Metro East adopted. Older and disabled pets frequently get buried in the shelter system, so we strive to prove that those pets are just as good as “normal,” young pets. Science shows that living with pets has numerous health benefits, so our project will benefit both disadvantaged pets and their new owners. To work towards this goal, we advertise for these disadvantaged pets on our social media pages. To help out this cause, you can spread the word about our page and what we stand for.
